I love to learn new things, and sometime I'm forced to learn. I might hate it but eventually, I realised that it benefits my life.
Right after coming back from school holiday, I've been busy training my KRS (Kadet Remaja Sekolah) team for marching competition, preparing them for camping, and also Pertandingan Ikatan dan Gajet. I have another teacher-in-charge with me, but he is the coordinator for the upcoming camping so I have to deal with everything alone.
Every evening, I stay back in school, sometime skip the lunch, just to train the students. At time, it's frustrating when they are not serious during the training and keep on making the same mistake.
The Co-curriculum week start with marching competition on wednesday, followed by Ikatan on the next day, then finish up by the camping on friday-saturday.
For the camp, our team were given Chinese Dance for Performance Night. If only the students can be more discipline, I believe they can do better. I teach the girls for the fan dancing, and add in martial arts for the guys. It was superb idea that could come out of my tiny brain but the boys are too stubborn and keeps on changing ideas so end up, they do not know what to do. I never dance a Fan Dance before, but I do not know what got into me, I feel so graceful when I teach them. I was glad and proud that I took up Tae-Kwan-Do class before (even tho oni until Yellow belt), but at least I can show to them the most basics steps they can perform, as well as add in tai-chi element.
During the closing ceremony, our team won 1st price for Pertandingan Ikatan dan Gajet, 3rd price for Pertandingan Perkhemahan, and 3rd price for Pertandingan Kawad Kaki. I was so happy that we won places in all three of the competition. All the hard work was paid off!
I love my childhood experience, joining scout during primary school, I'm really good in marching back then and went to a number of campings. Secondary school, I join Pandu Puteri, and I learn the marching again, and went to camps again. So all these experiences that I gain, help me to handle my team, before and during the competition. What they did is what I've done before, and in which, I've made mistakes before. So I can correct them when they did the same mistakes.
Sometime we grumble when are given something new, or something that we are not familiar, to do. But be optimist! Believe me, u will be glad you are given the chances to do it. I did and try a lot of new things, and I didn't really master any of it. But I just try it, so that at least someday, I can say "I did that before" or "I've learned that before". Just be sure, you can choose which is right, which is wrong. :)
So, cherish life and be happy. ;)
