We were honored when the person in charge from SM Sains Kuching request us, students of Mathematics Education program to organize a program for their students. So dengan paksa rela nya, we help Mahathir to conduct this program. So, we cheekiez were assigned to in charge of the explorace slot.
Went out shop for stuff and prepare our thngs until 1am and woke up at 5.30am, bath, get ready and wait for the bus to fecth us. After picking up ol the involve coursemate, we depart from unimas excitedly.
Upon reaching the school hall, Ros took out our vest, borrowed from BHEP. Wah...wearing the vest really makes us feel good. Never been an L.O before so never wear this b4. We really feels professional by wearing this vest tho.
The program begin with the explorace slot. Mahathir called it "Mathematics Explorace". hahaha..formal nya...Me, Ain and Mai incharge of the Tower of Hanoi station. It's exciting watching the students try to complete the task. Some are very impatient, gets so stressed up. hahaha..ni baru budak form1. hahaha...We have a total of 6 station which includes, Tower of Hanoi, L, Katak, Kuaci, Mancis, and Bulatan. One good thing about these students is, they do not give up easily. No matter how hard or impossible it seem, they will keep trying. From our observation, some are still childish, while some are more matured in term that they are able to think or come up with a strategy to complete the task. Some are calm, while others are restless and impatient. Some have teamwork, while others are so individualistics in term of not wanting to hear what their teammates said.
Oh! another thing that excite us is, we were served like VIP. Our meal were brought to us, except for lunch and dinner, to the school hall where the activities were conducted. Our food were served on a nicely decorated table. It feels so good to be respected. ;)
After 2 LDKs, the last activity is Telematch-"Everywhere is Mathematics". It was fun to see the students enjoying themselves especially during the refreshement. They did the chicken dance, epo epo etai tai, pepsi cola, bukit, etc...
The program was end by a closing ceremony, with prize giving and souvenir from school. We were sent back to uni by sm sains school bus. arrived in uni around 11pm, bath, try to online but too exhausted..so lie flat on bed and sleep..;)
That was fun and very experiential program, useful for us as teachers in future. ;)
